Start with the fixing points: one or two screws, thread, distance, mounting shape and contact surface. Appearance comes after the fitting check.
Why is a similar-looking handle not enough?
Similar handles can have different screw spacing, thread sizes or mountings. Then the handle may not sit securely, even if it looks right.
Why is handle fitting safety-relevant?
The handle carries the pot, contents and movement. If screw, thread or mounting do not fit, the handle can give way while carrying.
